"When I enrolled for the TTeam clinic I had little idea of what a life changing experience it would be.  For 2 years I had been trying different alternatives to help deal with a very sensitive horse that had a list of issues a mile long.  We were getting mixed results from the various methods we had been trying.  But after 5 days at the TTeam clinic it was like I was leaving with a different horse.  The icing on the cake was that the trainers were all fabulous, very knowledgeable as well as being very supportive."

Monique Batterham

"TTouch has helped me gain confidence on the ground as well as in the saddle. I feel a stronger connection to my horse ever since I started using TTouch. It has been very useful to me in many ways with lots of different horses."

What to expect on your TTouch/TTEAM workshop:

TTEAM clinics combine a wide amount of information, with an easy to learn, fun, hands-on format. Participants may choose to bring their own horse, or work with some of horses that other participants bring. They are suitable for all levels of horse handlers, and delve into the 3 components of the work; TTouch Bodywork; TTEAM ground exercises, and Riding with Awareness.

Participants go away with a clear understanding of how to evaluate a horse’s physical tension and bracing patterns, as well as what bodywork to use when. Honing observation skills brings new awareness to handlers, and better assesses physical limitations in horses, and how these may be reflected in negative behavior.

This three day Introductory clinic is a great way to find out about the Tellington Method. We will cover bodywork, touches and groundwork including body wrapping in this clinic. You will develop a deeper relationship with your horse and help them to become more confident, balanced and body aware. This is a very gentle and effective way of being with your horse. It does not matter what discipline you are interested in as this works for all and the method can be used on other animals and people!  This clinic contributes towards those that wish to become certified practitioners. The TTouch bodywork is taught in a hands-on manner, and is practiced on many different horses, as well as on people, to provide clear feedback on technique. By the end of the clinic most participants go away with many new tools to effectively deal with body soreness, stiffness, and improve overall wellbeing.

The TTEAM groundwork go through a variety of leading exercises developed to improve coordination, balance, posture, and straightness. These can be done on either side, with one handler or two, as well as ground driving, and “neck line driving” an exercise unique to the TTEAM work. These slow, mindful exercises serve to change habitual tension patterns, and ameliorate behavioral problems.

Combined with the opportunity to “Ride with Awareness”, a toolbox of riding exercises, which may include the use of the balance rein, lindell, roller-bit, promise warp, and even bridle-less riding with the lariat neck ring, all used to help change the horse’s balance and body.

In addition to this, saddle fit, dentistry awareness, and work with foals, are often part of the areas covered, and vary depending on group interest and experience. Regardless of whether it is your first or fifteenth TTEAM clinic is a great experience.
